How the light rail fare works
Fares on the Tel Aviv light rail follow the national “Equal Fare” (distance-based) reform, paid with a Rav-Kav card. A single journey of up to 15 km costs ₪8 and covers the whole Gush Dan area, including the entire Red Line end to end. Within 90 minutes you can transfer freely between buses and the light rail on the same fare.
The key principle: the fare is distance-based, not per line. A single ride at ₪8 covers the entire Gush Dan area — including the Red Line end to end — and grants free transfers between buses and the light rail for 90 minutes. There is no extra charge for switching between modes of transport within the same zone and the same time window.

Rav-Kav Online app

Top-up and payment machines (TVM)
At every Red Line station. They sell anonymous Rav-Kav cards, top up balance and let you buy a ride. They accept credit cards and cash.
Service counters and points of sale
At Rav-Kav service points, kiosks and authorised outlets you can obtain a registered (personal) card, which lets you load a discount profile and recover your balance.
