HaKomemiyut ↔ Petah Tikva Central Bus Station
The Red Line (Dankal) is the first and only line currently operating in the Gush Dan light rail and metro network. The line opened on 18 August 2023 and runs for about 24 km from HaKomemiyut station in Bat Yam in the south to Petah Tikva Central Station in the north-east, through 34 stations — ten of them underground in the dense centre of Tel Aviv. The line was built by NTA (Metropolitan Mass Transit System) and is operated by Tevel Metro. A single trip on a Rav-Kav card — ₪8 — covers the entire Gush Dan area, including the Red Line end to end.

Did you know?
- The Red Line is the first light-rail line to open in Gush Dan, after about two decades of planning and construction.
- Ten of the line's stations — in central Tel Aviv — are underground, while the rest are at street level along the urban corridors.
- The train does not run on Shabbat or on holidays, from the start of Shabbat on Friday until its end on Saturday night.
- A single trip on a Rav-Kav card grants free transfers to buses and the light rail within the same zone for 90 minutes.
- The stations are equipped with real-time signage, security systems and full accessibility for wheelchairs.
Transfers and connections
Future transfer to the Purple Line
At Carlebach station, a transfer to the Purple Line (under construction) will be possible in the future, once it opens.
Future transfer to the Purple and Green Lines
Arlozorov station is planned as an interchange to the Purple Line and the Green Line, as well as to Israel Railways in the nearby Savidor Center area.
Israel Railways
Near some of the stations you can transfer to the Israel Railways network, including the Arlozorov / Savidor Center area.
Buses and Metronit
Along the whole route, bus and Metronit lines connect on the same Rav-Kav payment, with no separate ticket.
