Welcome to the Tel Aviv light rail guide
The Gush Dan Light Rail is the urban rail transit network of the Tel Aviv area. Today only the Red Line is operational; it opened on 18 August 2023 and extends over 34 stations along 24 km (15 mi), from Bat Yam in the south to Petah Tikva in the north-east. The line was built by NTA (Netivei Tahbura Ironiyim, urban transport routes) and is operated by Tevel Metro. In the coming years it will be joined by the Purple Line and the Green Line (under construction) and three underground metro lines (M1, M2, M3). The whole network runs on a single Rav-Kav card shared with the buses — a ride in Gush Dan costs ₪8.

A single, distance-based fare on a Rav-Kav card: a ride in Gush Dan for ₪8 covering the whole Red Line, with free transfers to buses within 90 minutes.

Fares follow the Ministry of Transport's national reform. A single trip of up to 15 km (₪8) covers the entire Gush Dan area, including the Red Line end to end. Children up to age 5 travel free.
